Stephanie Schmutz-Parente has been practicing law for over ten years, with a primary focus on litigation and labor and employment law. Stephanie has participated in corporate investigations and represented numerous clients under investigation by various governmental agencies, including the EEOC. As a former trial lawyer, Stephanie enjoys providing proactive training to employers to prevent disputes before they occur and is also especially adept at assisting employers with workplace compliance. Prior to joining Worner Velasco Suarez, PC, Stephanie worked as an attorney in the Houston offices of Baker Botts, LLP and Littler Mendelson, amongst others, where she represented employers in a wide variety of employment law matters.
Before she began her law practice in Houston, Stephanie served as a Clerk to the Honorable Jorge A. Solis, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas in Dallas, Texas. Stephanie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration summa cum laude from the University of Houston and her Juris Doctor Degree magna cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center, where she served as Notes and Comments Editor on the Houston Law Review, and received honors of Order of the Coif and Order of the Barons.
